
I also think the flavor of having a companion that's been blessed by some primal nature god is a lot more interesting than some flat combat bonuses. However, I took a look at the Hunter class again and discovered I could also take the Divine Hunter archetype at the cost of the free teamwork feats.Īs an archer, the teamwork feats wouldn't have been that great for me anyway - just some +1/+2 attack bonuses from Coordinated Shots or Enfilading Fire. My companion is focused on grappling and devouring enemies, keeping the bad guys from my weaker party members, while I take them out from afar. I'm currently playing a Primal Companion Hunter with a Praying Mantis companion. Our GM has given us one last opportunity to completely change anything we want about our character before applying any level 2 changes.
