Not positive that is the answer with the other 3 libraries or so that also give the error message that they need a newer Kontakt, but it sure seems logical. They sent me a new Instruments file to replace the corrupted one I had and everything works fine now and Emotional Piano now opens in my Contact without the error message that I need a newer Kontakt. Saving a sample in a more recent Kontakt does something to the sample to cause it not to load in an older Kontakt. Kontakt 5.8.1, which is my VSTi in Cubase 8).

Yes I wanted to use whatever the latest version NI has up there (unless somebody indicates it is not worth it and can still fix the error) and assumed that was the fix- just erase everything, download the latest Kontakt, and make sure its path is in the Cubase VSTi path.īut really I don't care what version- I just want the error to go away.
